Ritsa Gountoumas, a founder of Golden Gate Legal, is a skilled litigator who advocates tirelessly for her clients. She has dedicated her legal career to representing the “little guy”—accident victims who have been injured through no fault of their own—and co-founded GGL to assist individuals in fighting back against powerful insurance companies.
Ritsa has substantial experience representing plaintiffs in both pre-litigation and litigation matters and primarily focuses her practice on motor vehicle accidents, traumatic brain injury cases, slip and falls, dog bites, and wrongful death cases. In addition to providing zealous, individualized representation, her goal is to help accident victims maximize their recovery and obtain the best possible results in all types of cases.
Ritsa earned her J.D. from the University of California, Davis School of Law and holds a B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley.

Matthew Bourhis
Matthew Bourhis has served as lead counsel in many high-stakes, multi-million dollar cases for a wide range of clients in both state and federal court. He has represented world-renowned professionals, including surgeons, entrepreneurs, directors and producers, presidents and CEOs of companies and other individuals who have been injured. He consistently devotes himself to representing people with catastrophic disabilities and takes great pride in guiding them through the most challenging periods of their lives.
Matthew’s experience working at the California Supreme Court and Court of Appeal gave him a background with the finest judges in California. He contributes pro bono legal services to a variety of people, including many victims of California wildfires and other catastrophic natural disasters. He is an active member of Consumer Attorneys of California, San Francisco Trial Lawyers Association and Consumer Attorneys of Los Angeles. He earned his J.D. from the University of California, Davis School of Law and his B.S. from Boston University.
Matthew is an avid golfer, basketball player, and world traveler.

Ann Marie Do
As the firm’s Paralegal, Ann Marie manages day-to-day administrative tasks, oversees client files, prepares legal documents, handles filings with the court, and provides ongoing support to the attorneys. As the first point of contact for clients, she embraces the responsibility of putting their worries at ease and walking them through the difficult and often confusing first steps in the legal process. Leading with empathy and active listening, Ann Marie measures her success in her ability to remain a constant source of reassurance throughout all stages of a client’s journey. Like the attorneys, she is focused on ensuring that clients obtain the recovery they deserve.
Ann Marie earned her Paralegal Certificate from the University of California, Berkeley, and her B.A. in Communications and Sociology & Gender Studies from the University of Puget Sound.
When she isn’t working on cases, Ann Marie spends her time embroidering and is an avid reader and traveler.
